Shandong University Mathematical Research Center (abbreviated as MRC), founded in 2023, is a special advanced talent development zone for the mathematics discipline, approved by the Ministry of Education. It is located on the Hong Jialou Campus, which is endowed with a rich historical heritage, an open academic atmosphere and a beautiful working environment.

MRC adheres to serving the country’s major development strategies and implementing the requirements for cultivating top-notch talents in basic disciplines. Relying on the highly qualified faculty of the mathematics discipline at Shandong University, MRC brings together top academic experts from both domestic and international institutions. It has formed research and talent training teams, led by leading professors, focusing on six key areas: Number Theory, Nonlinear Probability, Cryptography Mathematics, Cybernetics, Analysis and Differential equations, Operations Optimization and Computational science.

MRC is dedicated to cultivating high-level talents in mathematics with “solid theoretical foundations, active creative thinking and first-class innovation capabilities”.
