Abstract: In this talk, I will present a new approach to the study of Ramanujan’s theory of elliptic functions to the cubic base using Jacobi’s theta functions.

This new approach does not involve the cubic theta series discovered by J.M. Borwein and P.B. Borwein around 1991.
