Shandong University Mathematical Research Center(MRC), founded in 2023, is located in the century-old heritage building at Hongjialou Campus of Shandong University in Jinan. It is a special, advanced talent-development zone for the mathematics discipline approved by the Ministry of Education.
With its top-tier faculty in the A+ discipline of mathematics at Shandong University, MRC has gathered a group of academic experts from world-renowned institutions. Ⅱ. Recruiting Categories and Treatments
1. Special Funding Postdoctoral Researcher
(1) Applicants must be under 35 years old, of sound physical and mental condition, and possess strong research potential and academic integrity. Applicants should also have graduated with a doctoral degree from a domestic or international university or research institution within the past three years, having achieved outstanding research results during their doctoral studies. Additionally, applicants should have participated in forward-looking and innovative postdoctoral research projects. Furthermore, priority will be given to recipients who have demonstrated significant academic potential in prestigious national programs, such as the Postdoctoral Innovation Talent Support Program, the Postdoctoral International Exchange Program (Incoming and Outgoing Projects), the Hong Kong Scholars Program, the Macao Young Scholars Program, or the Sino-German Postdoctoral Exchange Program. Priority will also be given to disciplines under the Peak Plan, national key laboratories, and high-level talent teams.
(2) Salary and Benefits: The position offers an annual salary of no less than RMB 300,000 and benefits equivalent to those of regular staff, including Social Insurance and a Housing Provident Fund at the same standard as full-time faculty. Subsidized rental housing in postdoctoral apartments and a supportive research environment with an annual research fund of no less than RMB 60,000 are provided. Additional financial support will be provided by MRC and cooperating mentors based on academic performance. Furthermore, eligible postdoctoral researchers can apply for an additional subsidy of RMB 5,000 per month, in accordance with relevant local policies of our university and the Municipal Government of Jinan.
(3) Management and Evaluation: Postdoctoral researchers are appointed for a term of two years, with the possibility of renewal based on work performance. Mid-term and final evaluations will be conducted as required. Upon successful completion of the term and meeting the training requirements, researchers may be transitioned to teaching positions in relevant disciplines and may also participate in the selection for talent programs such as the QILU Young Scholars Program.
2. Priority Funding Postdoctoral Researcher
(1) Applicants must be under 35 years old, of sound physical and mental condition, and possess strong research potential and academic integrity. Additionally, applicants should be outstanding doctoral graduates from prestigious domestic or international universities within the past three years, demonstrating significant development potential and strong academic capabilities.
(2) Salary and Benefits: The position offers an annual salary of no less than RMB 280,000 and benefits equivalent to those of regular staff, including Social Insurance and Housing Provident Fund at the same standard as full-time faculty. Subsidized rental housing in postdoctoral apartments and a supportive research environment with an annual research fund of no less than RMB 60,000 are provided. Additional financial support will be provided by MRC and cooperating mentors based on academic performance. Furthermore, eligible postdoctoral researchers can apply for an additional subsidy of RMB 5,000 per month, in accordance with relevant local policies of the university and the Municipal Government of Jinan.
(3) Management and Evaluation: Postdoctoral researchers are appointed for a term of 2 years, which may be extended based on work performance. They are required to undergo and pass a mid-term evaluation and a final evaluation. Those who meet the requirements of the evaluation may participate in the recruitment for teaching and other related positions at the school.

Additionally, applicants should have graduated with a doctoral degree from high-ranking domestic or international universities within the past three years.
(2) Salary and Benefits: The position offers an annual salary of no less than RMB 220,000 and benefits equivalent to those of regular staff, including Social Insurance and Housing Provident Fund at the same standard as full-time faculty. Subsidized rental housing in postdoctoral apartments and a supportive research environment with an annual research fund of no less than RMB 40,000 are provided. Additional financial support will be provided by MRC and cooperating mentors based on academic performance. Furthermore, eligible postdoctoral researchers can apply for an additional subsidy of RMB 5,000 per month, in accordance with relevant local and policies of the university and the Municipal Government of Jinan.
(3) Management and Evaluation: Postdoctoral researchers are appointed for a term of 2 years, which may be extended based on work performance. 2. Applicants who have already received a doctoral degree must provide their doctoral degree certificate and graduation certificate. This year's doctoral graduates must provide their student ID, the resolution of their doctoral dissertation defense, or the notice of their doctoral dissertation predefense.
3. Academic and research achievements materials, including publications, monographs, patents, or awards that represent the applicant's highest academic level and research accomplishments.

Ⅴ. Assessment process
1. Preliminary Review. MRC Postdoctoral Program committee will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of applicants based on their academic background, research direction, publications, and recommendations.
2. Interview. Applicants who pass the preliminary review will be invited to attend an interview at MRC. Interview arrangements will be notified later.
Ⅵ. Job Requirements:
1. Postdoctoral Researchers should primarily focus on scientific research while also assisting their mentors in guiding graduate students, participating in teaching and academic activities such as curriculum development and textbook compilation. The specific job duties will be determined by the labor contract (work agreement).
2. Postdoctoral Researchers must ensure full-time commitment to postdoctoral research work and be present at the workplace on workdays.
